Australian 5 Cent Coin Mintages

The Australian five cent features the echidna on the reverse designed by Stuart Devlin. It has been minted with all 3 portraits of Queen Elizabeth II used to date, by Machin, Maklouf and Rank-Broadley. The five cent was first issued at the changeover to decimal currency in 1966 and continues to be minted today. The Australian five cent has been minted at the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra, The Royal Mint London and Llantrisant in Wales and the Royal Canadian Mint in Winnipeg.
